PR & MARKETING
I began my career at the Birmingham Post and Mail, which later become Trinity Mirror Midlands. After ten years employed in marketing and PR roles, I became freelance. My clients range from major corporations to independent startups, across a broad spectrum of marketing and PR requirements. Please see my copywriting page for more case studies, and feel free to contact me for more information.
For major PR or social media projects which require more than a freelance consultant, please contact 89up, a full service impact agency.
Below are just a few examples of the many marketing and PR projects I have worked on in the last decade.

Pioneering digital campaigns for titles including Alexandra Heminsley's 'Ex and the City', and bestselling science book Quirkology by Prof Richard Wiseman in association with the University of Hertfordshire (including a series of YouTube videos which have gained over 72million views) web development and in-store marketing. Strategy for Quirkology included:
The design and development of three major websites - one for each publisher’s territory in the UK, USA and Spain, the latter being a Spanish-language site and the online promotion of the URL in targeted social networking sites and forums
Viral seeding of an online video which became the biggest science communication piece in YouTube’s history
The creation of a website based on a popular detective board game
Graphic design for web and magazine articles to appear in titles including Nature and BBC Focus
Marketing and PR support including press, poster promotion and a major launch event for the all-new illustrated book of Tim Minchin's Storm, based on the viral animation of the same name. Published by Orion, the hardback limited edition sold out before release day, and reached the Amazon Books top ten. The paperback was released to critical acclaim in October 2014.
Social media support included an influencer Twitter campaign with 8.2million impressions.
